Project Overview

Designer Lighting Store delivered a bespoke lighting package to the refurbished Imperia Spa at the Gleddoch Golf & Spa Resort. Situated on the historic 350-acre estate near Glasgow, the spa first opened in 2017 and recently underwent a multimillion-pound refurbishment, earning “Best New Spa” at the Good Spa Guide Awards. The brief required a serene and elevated atmosphere within the swimming pool area, combining technical performance with a refined hospitality ambiance. 

Lighting Solution

Custom waterproof luminaires were manufactured to SELV standards and engineered for continuous moisture exposure, chemical treatment and elevated temperature environments. Careful consideration was given to Kelvin colour temperature and rendering, lumen output and indirect diffusion to ensure both photometric performance and visual comfort throughout the spa journey.

Experience & Atmosphere

The lighting interacts softly with the pool’s architectural materials, reflecting across the water and enhancing the rich stone finishes. This approach contributes to the tranquil atmosphere for which the Imperia Spa is recognised, reinforcing the resort’s luxury wellness positioning.
